LODGE KERRIGAN, Director (United States)
Lodge Kerrigan is an Independent Spirit Award winner whose features Clean, Shaven; Claire Dolan; and Keane have been theatrically distributed worldwide and have shown at numerous international festivals including the main competition at Cannes, Sundance, Toronto, New York, Telluride and New Directors/New Films at MoMA, winning numerous prizes.
Kerrigan's work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian's Hirschhorn Museum, the American Museum of the Moving Image, the annual convention of the American Psychiatric Association, and has been the subject of retrospectives in Torino, Buenos Aires, and Reykjavik. Kerrigan has served on the jury at numerous film festivals, including Rotterdam and Thessaloniki, and he has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts. All of Kerrigan's films, including all future work, have been chosen for preservation by George Eastman House. Kerrigan is currently developing a documentary on the plight of individuals with serious and persistent mental illness caught up in the U.S. criminal justice system and their efforts to reintegrate into society and rebuild their lives in a meaningful way. The film is a WETA (PBS) coproduction and multi-Emmy Award winner Ken Burns and Academy Award-winner Steven Soderbergh are executive producers. Kerrigan is currently a filmmaker in residence in the department of Visual and Environmental Studies at Harvard University.

ANDREAS STRÖHL (Germany)
Andreas Max Ströhl was born in 1962, in Munich, West Germany. From 1981 to 1987 he studied at the university of Munich: Contemporary German Literature, Theatre, American Studies, Philosophy and from1987 to 1988 he worked as a journalist. From 1988 to 2003 he joined the Goethe-Institut. He was a teacher at the Goethe-Institut of Bonn in 1990-1991. From 1991 to 1997 he became the director of cultural programs at the Goethe-Institut of Pragues and in 1994 Ströhl was named founding director of the Days of European Film in Prague and Brno. From 1996 to 1998 he was a guest lecturer for media theory at the University of Innsbruck, in 1998 he became head of the film department of Goethe-Institut. He is, since 2003, the director of the Munich Filmfest and managing director of the Munich International Festival of Film schools.

PHILIPPE AZOURY, Journalist (France)
Born in France in 1971, he is currently writing for Liberation as well as for several other publications such as Les Inrockuptibles, Tsugi, Trafic, Les Cahiers du cinema, Vogue... Azoury is a history and cinema teacher at the University of Paris III. He wrote an essay on Fantômas, a monograph on Jean Cocteau as well as a book in collaboration with the photographer Antoine d'Agata. He is currently working on a monograph on Philippe Garrel to be published in 2009 in the Cahiers du Cinéma.

JEREMY GILLEY, Director, Producer, Writer (Great Britain)
Jeremy Gilley is an actor turned filmmaker, who in the late 1990s became preoccupied with questions about the fundamental nature of humanity and the issue of peace. He decided to explore these through the medium of film and created the highly successful documentary The Day After Peace, winner of the Adelaide Film Festival –Best documentary award and nomination for a Best British Documentary award and an Outstanding Directorial Achievement award by the Directors Guild of Great Britain.
The Day After Peace has been licensed for broadcast in 14 territories internationally and has played at 30 International Film Festival.
