Endorsing the Lebanese movie production
Since June 1, 2004 mtc touch has been managing one of the two GSM networks in Lebanon (MIC2) on behalf of the Lebanese Government and in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications.
mtc touch, which is part of Zain Group, the leading telecommunications mobile operator servicing over 50 million customers in 22 countries across the Middle East and Africa, enjoys today a leading position in Lebanon in mobile telecommunication, with 52% market share and consolidated status allowing it to provide its customers with high-end services that meet both individual and corporate expectations.
In parallel, we have established a socially responsible strategy aiming at endorsing different Lebanese sectors whether environment, education, social work, tourism or culture. One cultural trait that the Lebanese share, is without a doubt the will of steel, and the Lebanese film industry has been a great witness of that.
Back in the 70s, the Lebanese movie production was one of the most prosperous industries in the Middle East with movies and series anchored in our audio-visual memory. At the end of the 90's the Lebanese movie production started to take slow but sure steps ahead to get back to its glory.
The journey has been hard, however many stars have risen including award-winning actors and actresses, directors, film producers, technicians and many other talented people.
The Lebanese Film Festival in its 7th edition is a way to celebrate these success stories, honor Lebanese talents and promote their movies and documentaries. mtc touch is proud of being part of this not-to-miss rendez-vous for Lebanese and foreigner cinematographers, and to be able to stand by the organizers, “..né.à Beyrouth”, as we endorse their noble initiative to make a real difference and restore the Lebanese film making industry’s prosperous status.
Together, we can make it happen.
